Hi I’m Sharon. I’ve worked in construction and facilities management for my whole career, firstly as a quantity surveyor, and then equity, diversity and inclusion starting my own business, Constructing Rainbows.

As a bi-woman, working in a male-dominated sector I know how hard it can be for those who don’t fit the mould, but it doesn’t have to be that way, we can do better!

I founded LGBT+ in FM in 2016, when I reached out to a number of FM LGBT+ network Chairs to see if they wanted to collaborate to make the whole industry more LGBT+ inclusive. Thankfully they said yes, and here we are today going from strength to strength.
